Ukraine Agrees With Poland On Joint Building Of Lviv-Krakow Highway For EURO 2012

Ukraine and Poland agreed on joint building a motor road connecting Lviv and Krakow for the European Football Championship 2012.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko announced this when opening a session of the Cabinet of Ministers.

This agreement was reached in course of Tymoshenko's visit to Poland.

"We decided to realize several infrastructure objects together... the Lviv-Krakow motor road among them," she said.

The prime minister added, the countries will be also building new customs terminals together to simplify border crossing.

In general Yu. Tymoshenko positively assessed her visit to Poland and noted that the sides reached complete understanding in coordination of the preparations for EURO 2012.

Next meeting of the joint committee preparing for the championship is scheduled for September 15.

As Ukrainian News reported, on July 14, Ukraine agreed with Poland on exchanging action plans of arranging the European Football Championship 2012 and jointly report to UEFA.

In February Kyiv municipal state administration, the city halls of Lviv and Krakow (Poland) reached agreement on cooperation in preparations for the European Football Championship 2012.

Ukraine and Poland won the right to co-host the UEFA's European Football Championship 2012.

According to the joint bid, the opening matches of the championship will be played in Warsaw and the finals in Kyiv.
