The Ministry for Regional Development and Construction is intending to coordinate its actions with construction companies in the market during the world financial crisis.

Regional Development and Construction Minister Vasyl Kuibida announced this at a press conference.

He said the Ministry for Regional Development and Construction has completed work on a memo.

The ministry will sign the memo for the government and producers of construction materials and construction companies will be the other sides to the memo.

"The Ministry for Regional Development and Construction will commit to draft required normative documents. The other sides will commit not to cut jobs, not to raise prices of construction materials and prices of housing," he said.

Kuibida said over 7,000 companies produce construction materials in Ukraine and over 48,000 construction companies and organizations operate in the country.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers has agreed with developer companies about their limiting profits by 15% for the period of the economic crisis.

Another agreement was to limit profits with the production of construction materials by 15%.
