As of November 1, the volume of unpaid salaries and wages rose by 22.9% compared to October 1, to UAH 1,043.622 million, the State Statistics Committee has informed.

As of November 1, the most considerable volumes of wage arrears were observed in Donetsk region amounting to UAH 289.263 million, Luhansk region, UAH 114.414 million, and Kharkiv region, UAH 91.171 million.

In October, the arrears of wages paid from the state and local budgets rose by 26.4%, compared to September, and reached UAH 3.949 million as of November 1, 2008.

In particular, the arrears of wages paid from the state budget comprised UAH 3.706 million, from local budgets UAH 0.243 million.

As Ukrainian News reported, the Labour and Social Policy Minister Liudmyla Denysova said that according to the current data the arrears of wages fell by UAH 148 million to UAH 701 million as of November 4, compared with October.

As of October 1, the volume of unpaid salaries and wages rose by 22.2% compared to September 1, to UAH 849.365 million.
