Pynzenyk: November Inflation Of 1.5% Acceptable

Finance Minister Viktor Pynzenyk has said that the 1.5-percent inflation in November was quite acceptable, the press service of the Finance Ministry said this in the report.

Pynzenyk has also called the following a number of positive tendencies: inconsiderable growth of food prices in November (0.2% over 2.3% in November 2007) and also the reduction of the wholesale prices in the industrial sector (6.5%).

«This is extremely important respond of the economy to the crisis,» the minister said.

The reduction of the wholesale prices in the industrial sector has been registered by the Finance Ministry for the third month in a row.

However, if these prices fell by 1.8% in September, 1.4% in October and they fell by 6.5% in November.

In compliance with the report, the finance minister said that this price reaction in the economy will assist the reduction of expenses in all sectors, support of the real consumer expenses at the acceptable level.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in November, the inflation made up 1.5% and 19.8% in January-November.

In 2007, the inflation made up 16.6% and 11.6% in 2006.
